Our partner, Insane Impact, manufactures a line of products that live up to the name—impressive portable LED screens—that instantly transform any event into a memorable, engaging experience.
Founded in 2015, CEO Tod Puetz and his team have grown to become the industry leader. Through direct sales to customers and a nationwide LED screen rental network, Insane Impact has helped make this technology accessible for events of all sizes… and attendees have taken notice.
Insane Impact’s product family includes portable LED screens, ranging from 12’ x 7’ to 23’ x 13’, that are towed on trailers. They also manufacture MASSIVE video walls for stadiums, amusement parks, and other permanent applications.
In March 2022, Insane Impact was presented with an innovative challenge by a potential customer: How can you power one of your portable screens WITHOUT a generator? See, this particular customer had to deliver an unforgettable experience but also adhere to sustainability standards that fuel-guzzling, emissions-dumping generators couldn’t possibly meet.
Taking this challenge head-on, Insane Impact VP of Sales, BJ Supple, recalled hearing about Joule Case’s progress in using portable electric storage to decarbonize huge events like music festivals. Through a quick internet search, it became clear that our industry-leading solutions could be a perfect fit.
After an initial capabilities meeting, both teams went to work to develop a demonstration unit to prove the technology. To oversee a successful implementation, Joule Case CTO, Dave DeMuro, and VP of Sales, Justin LeVrier, traveled to Insane Impact HQ in Clive, IA. Working alongside the Insane Impact team to build and test this initial setup, the preliminary results proved even more promising than initially planned. The Joule Case system provided hours of high-performance power all from clean, quiet batteries.
The next step was to finish the installation with a full complement of batteries and inverters and make the final delivery. Once on-site, performance again turned heads. The original test parameters were more strenuous than real-world use. For instance, portions of the test ran the LED screens at full brightness but when used normally, the brightness is only about 60%. The end customer reported nearly 24 hours of power!
If you want to create a memorable event, one of Insane Impact’s LED screens is a must-have. Here are a couple of reasons why using battery systems for power ensures the best experience possible:
“By partnering with Joule Case to create battery-powered LED Displays, we are not only removing emissions and minimizing the carbon impact, we add flexibility to where and how we can use our displays while removing the background noise of traditional generators. It really is about elevating the experience for everyone, and we couldn’t do that without Joule Case.”
